Default Backlight Color

(Display, Backlight Color Control)

Selects the default color of the light that illuminates the background area of the radio's display. This is accomplished by the composition of backlight colors illuminating from Red and Green LEDs. The intensity level of each LED is represented by a percentage number. By raising or lowering the percent intensity of the Red or the Green LED, the CPS then allows you to select from the possible colors.

The Default Backlight Color can only be one of first five record / row selections in the Backlight Color table, either one of the four pre-defined colors or the "Custom" color (record 5). The composition of backlight color for these five colors cannot be changed by the radio-user. In this way, the CPS-user can determine the default backlight color composition for all radios under their control. DotGreen.png The CPS provides default names for each color in the table which the CPS-user can rename via the Color Text field, if desired.

The radio-user can change the composition of the colors of the five "My Color" selections; hence, they cannot be selected as the Default Backlight Color. WFForward.png Radio users may select any of the ten backlight color selections via the Color menu-selection, but the default will be the one defined by the Default Backlight Color field.

DotRed.png  The codeplug's dynamic block restores the last setting. This means that if the backlight color is changed via the Color menu-selection; then the default value must also be changed to a new selection before the radio is reprogrammed; otherwise, the radio will power up with the last-selected backlight color, and not the CPS-defined default color value.
